Drake is well known for dominating the Billboard charts. And this week, The Boy’s fifth solo album, Scorpion, takes the top spot, moving 732,000 units in its first week. This marks Aubrey’s 8th consecutive number one debut. The double-album now becomes the highest debut in 2018 and the first project in history to reach over a billion streams on all platforms.
On it’s first day, it surpassed over 300 million streams in its first 24 hours of its release. 170 million of the streams on Apple Music put all of the 25 songs on the streaming service’s top 25 songs charts and broke the record for most streams in a single day (previously his More Life from last year).
In addition, the 132 million streams on Spotify also broke the platform’s most streams on opening day (previously Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys). Congrats!
